I love to kayak around Brentwood Bay, a beautiful harbour full of  all sorts of interesting boats.  I particularly love this little island with it's small marina and I have painted it often.  A number of things in the subject attracted me so it was challenging to arrange the composition to focus on the small marina yet keep it dynamic.  The white boat was actually moored at the far left of the island but I moved it to keep the main area of interest to the right of centre.
